"Property Insurance Insights: A Carrier Perspective"

Don Matz is the CEO of Orange Insurance Exchange (Orange), a brand-new Florida residential property insurer that launched in December 2023. Prior to launching Orange, he served as a Director, CEO and President of Producer’s National Corporation (PNC), a U.S. based insurance holding company headquartered in Niles, IL that specializes in high-risk auto insurance. Prior to joining PNC in 2022, Mr. Matz served as President of Gainesville-based Tower Hill Insurance Group, one of Florida’s largest property insurers. During his 26-plus years at Tower Hill, he made significant contributions to Tower Hill’s success. During his tenure, he led key initiatives, including the introduction of Tower Hill’s private flood program, its multi-policy marketing partnership with Safeco Insurance, and the launch of Tower Hill Insurance Exchange.

Mr. Matz, a former U.S. Army Captain, earned a baccalaureate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
