GACAR Family Day at Carson Springs

GACAR Members!  JOIN US for this year's Family Day at Carson Springs! 

Being held on Saturday, April 25th, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Carson Springs Wildlife Sanctuary (8528 E County RD 225, Gainesville)   The facility is a 275 acre conservation & educational facility that rescues exotic animals in need.  Home to approx 30 rare and endangered species - features over 100 animals.  Ticket price includes: Food trucks; Beverage station; Face painting; Bounce house; plus escorted tours and animal interactions in the Sanctuary.  GACAR will have full access to the animal park.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND

What to bring/wear:

  • Tour is on hard-packed grass. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes;
  • Strollers are strongly advised for small children;
  • Wheelchairs with outdoor wheels and electric wheelchairs can navigate without difficulty;
  • If there is a chance of rain, please bring umbrellas;
  • Light layers depending on the weather of the day.


NEW ATTENDANCE POLICY - Beginning 1/1/2026 GACAR provides several educational and networking events throughout the year at no cost to its members. While they may be free to attend, registration is still required to ensure an accurate head count for food, seating, handouts, etc. All "walk-ins" (anyone not registered 48 hours in advance) will be charged a $25 registration fee at the door assuming there is availability.  Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance or be charged a $25 cancellation fee. Member NO SHOWS will be charged $25. This applies to the Member ticket only.  Guests fees are not refunded if cancellation is within 48 hours of the event or if a no show.
